Dr. Kari Nadeau, Director of the Sean N Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research, will address Wildfires & Human Health.

The unfortunate increase in wildfires in association with climate change has only augmented the impact of air pollution on health in many areas of the country. Overall, wildfires have resulted in increased strokes, heart attacks, asthma attacks and respiratory disorders.  Come hear about Dr Kari Nadeau's research here at Stanford, in which she investigates the impact of wildfires on health, focusing on the immune system and associated allergic disease.

This is part of the Research and Practice in Planetary Health Winter Lecture Series.
