Born in 1966 in France and trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, Clet is a Florence-based street artist whose studio is just minutes away from the Stanford in Florence Program. Join us and Clet in his San Niccolò studio for a conversation about his work and the contemporary art scene in Florence, as well as a virtual tour of his work and that of some his contemporaries, out on the city streets. Discover how he creates unique street art, through a clever and meticulous placement of adhesives, that is marked by humor, political and social commentary, humanity, and a criticism of rules and regulations and the signage itself. Clet is a veritable cult figure in town and his work can be seen all over Florence as well as on the streets of cities around the world such as Paris, Rome, London, Turin, Milan, Barcelona, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Montreal.
